Frank Kolimago | Managing Director

Frank Kolimago is Managing Director of Vanguard Australia. In this role, Frank is responsible for all aspects of management, distribution, and operations of Vanguard’s Australian business.
Since joining Vanguard in 1996, Frank has served in a variety of roles including working in the Institutional Investor Group as a principal in Malvern, Pennsylvania and Scottsdale, Arizona, and leading the teams that support institutional retirement plan clients across a variety of segments.
In 2000, Frank moved to Japan to assist in establishing and managing Vanguard’s Tokyo office, and in 2013, he headed up the combined Shared Services and Defined Benefit Services Group within Vanguard Institutional Investor Group. Most recently, Frank was principal and head of Vanguard Personal Advisor Services in the United States, which provides Vanguard clients with ongoing asset management and investment advice consultations with Certified Financial Planner professionals.
Before joining Vanguard, Frank was a vice president in the corporate banking division of PNC Bank, N.A. Frank earned a B.S. in finance from Saint Joseph’s University and an M.B.A. from Villanova University, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Robin Bowerman | Head of Corporate Affairs

Robin Bowerman is the Head of Corporate Affairs at Vanguard and a member of Vanguard Australia's Executive team.
In his current role, Robin leads the corporate communications and government relations functions of the business and plays a key role in Vanguard's long-term strategy development. Robin joined Vanguard in 2003 as Head of Retail and played a pivotal role in the growth of Vanguard's retail business and the products and services offered to financial advisers and retail investors, as well as overseeing retail sales and marketing.
Robin is a key spokesperson and experienced presenter for Vanguard, with expertise in investor education, funds management, self-managed super funds, product development, industry and regulatory affairs related topics.
Prior to joining Vanguard, Robin had a distinguished career in the media and was a leading financial services writer, commentator and editor for over 15 years. He continues to be editor of Vanguard's core client publications including writing a weekly column with more than 50,000 readers.
In 2002, Robin co-authored the book Wealth of Experience, with Jeremy Duffield, Vanguard Australia's ex-Chairman and founder. Robin also serves as Vice Chairman of the SMSF Association.
Duncan Burns CFA | Head of Vanguard's Equity Index Group, Asia-Pacific

Duncan Burns is the Head of Vanguard's Equity Index Group for Asia-Pacific.
In this role, Duncan oversees the management of Vanguard's Australian and global equity index portfolios and the firm's trading operation in the Asia-Pacific region. He manages a team of equity investment professionals, consisting of: portfolio managers, traders and Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) specialists.
Duncan brings to the team more than 20 years of equity trading and investment management expertise, focusing on quant active investing, electronic trading, algorithmic strategies, market microstructure and transaction cost analysis.
Prior to joining Vanguard in 2013, Duncan worked for seven years at Jacobs Levy Equity Management, a US provider of quantitative equity strategies for institutional clients. Duncan started his career on Wall Street in 1996, working at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) where he spent a number of years managing the agency trading desk of DLJ's retail brokerage arm, DLJdirect.
Duncan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Lafayette College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. He is a CFA Charterholder and is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts.
Aidan Geysen | Head of Investment Strategy, Australia

Aidan Geysen is Head of Investment Strategy for Vanguard in Australia.
In this role, Aidan leads the team responsible for developing and delivering research insights into portfolio construction, exchange traded funds, and investment markets.
Prior to joining the Investment Strategy Group in May 2016, Aidan leveraged his experience in advice and research to manage relationships, and provide support and strategic direction to Vanguard's key institutional clients in Australia and New Zealand.
Before joining Vanguard in April 2015, Aidan spent 12 years with JANA Investment Advisers, Australia's largest asset consulting firm. Aidan's roles at JANA included the provision of investment advice to a diverse client base including industry and corporate super funds, university endowments, charitable foundations and family offices, and served as Chair of JANA's Research Committee, and Portfolio Manager of the multi-manager institutional Australian equities portfolios for JANA's Implemented Consulting clients.
Aidan holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics and Law from Swinburne University, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.
Balaji Gopal | Head of Personal Investor, Australia

Balaji Gopal is Head of Personal Investor at Vanguard Australia, and a member of Vanguard's Australian executive team.
In this role, Balaji leads Vanguard Australia's retail business, including the build out of a digital offer that allows Australian investors to take greater control of their investment portfolio.
Prior to taking on his current role in July 2020, Balaji served as Vanguard Australia's Head of Product Strategy, where he led the team responsible for long-term product planning, research, development and implementation.
Balaji has gained over 18 years' experience working across government, financial services, investment and management consulting sectors. Prior to joining Vanguard in April 2017, Balaji held positions at the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) including working within the ANZ Wealth Global Chief Investment Office, where he provided oversight across business management, technology, governance, strategy and investment and product related matters regionally.
Balaji holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Computing from Osmania University (India), along with a Masters in Applied Science (Computing) from RMIT University and a Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
Geoff Parrish | Head of Vanguard's Asia-Pacific Fixed Income Group

Geoff Parrish is currently the Head of Vanguard's Asia-Pacific Fixed Income Group and has the responsibility of overseeing the management of international and domestic portfolios, ETFs, and multi-asset and investment solution mandates.
Geoff's career at Vanguard started in 2009 through an accelerated development program which rotated him through Vanguard's retail and institutional groups, the Investment Strategy Group, and the Fixed Income Group. In 2010 Geoff joined the Fixed Income Group, where he held various active trading and portfolio management roles. In these roles Geoff was responsible for the generation, trading, and management of active rates, credit, and derivative strategies. In 2016 Geoff joined Vanguard's Corporate Strategy group where he worked on projects such as evaluating Vanguard's international institutional offer, Canadian ETF platform and global insights, and the impact of disruptive technologies before moving to Australia in 2017 as a Portfolio Manager in Vanguard's Asia-Pacific Fixed Income Group.
Geoff holds a Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Finance and Management from the University of Virginia, and an M.B.A. with concentrations in Decision Sciences and Strategy from Duke's Fuqua School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Matthew Lumsden | Head of Distribution

Matthew Lumsden is the Head of Distribution at Vanguard Australia and a member of Vanguard's Australian executive team.
In this role, he is primarily responsible for the distribution of Vanguard's managed funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs) to both retail and institutional clients and advisers in the Australian marketplace.
Matthew's role is to build upon Vanguard's strong growth over recent years in the retail and institutional markets, by expanding the client base and products offered in the marketplace.
Matthew has been with Vanguard since 2010, joining the London office as Senior Projects Counsel before moving to Hong Kong in April 2011 to help establish Vanguard's presence in Hong Kong, and leading strategic planning, legal and compliance for Vanguard in Asia.
He has 15 years' experience in the financial services industry, with global experience having worked in Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and Australia. Prior to joining Vanguard Matthew worked for Lazard Asset Management as the Head of Project Management in London, and Head of Legal and Compliance in Tokyo.
Matthew qualified as a lawyer with Baker & McKenzie in Sydney. He holds a BA/LLB from Bond University and a Masters of Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Matthew speaks and reads Japanese.
Kim Petersen | Chief Information Officer, Asia Pacific

Kim Petersen is Chief Information Officer, Asia Pacific for Vanguard and a member of the Australian Executive Team.
In this role in this role, Kim is responsible for the delivery of technology solutions for Vanguard’s Asia Pacific’s businesses, as well as IT governance, innovation, and technology strategy.
Prior to commencing this role in January, 2019, Kim gained over 20 years of Information Technology experience in roles held across the automotive industry, and most recently her role as IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager at Jetstar Australia where she lead the teams in charge of end user computing, service management, data centre and cloud, networks, and cyber security operations.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from Swinburne University and a Masters of Business Administration and Management from RMIT.
Rebecca Pope | Head of Intermediary

Rebecca Pope is Head of Intermediary for Vanguard in Australia.
In this role, Rebecca is responsible for leading the sales strategy and the team responsible for the distribution of Vanguard's managed funds and exchange traded fund products to intermediaries.
Prior to taking on her current role in February 2017, Rebecca held the roles of Sales Excellence and Planning Manager, where she developed the strategy and vision for the learning functions and business planning for Distribution, and Marketing Manager, where she was responsible for the development and management of both the adviser and retail channel marketing strategies.
Before joining Vanguard in August 2009, Rebecca had over ten years' experience in Marketing, both in Australia and the United Kingdom. Her most recent role was Head of Marketing and Communications with Viento Group Limited.

Evan Reedman | Head of Product and Marketing

Evan Reedman is Head of Product and Marketing and a member of Vanguard Australia's Executive team.
In this role, Evan leads the teams responsible for the development, management and promotion of Vanguard's range of managed and exchange traded funds.
Prior to taking on his current role, Evan was National Manager Asset Consultants, where he was responsible for managing Vanguard's relationship with key institutional investment consultants.
Evan has extensive experience in the investment industry, and prior to joining Vanguard he held the roles of Head of Consultant Relations Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse Asset Management, Director, Lifecycle Strategies at QIC, and Consultant and Head of Portfolio Construction Research at JANA Investment Advisers.
Evan holds a Bachelor of Business with First Class Honours from QUT and was awarded the QUT University Medal for Academic Excellence in 2004. Evan is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association and holds a voluntary position as Director of Melbourne East Disability Advocacy.

Daniel Reyes is a Principal, Head of Investments, Asia-Pacific and Head of Investment Strategy Group (ISG), Asia-Pacific, based in Vanguard's Melbourne office.
In this role, Daniel leads Vanguard's experienced team of investment management and strategy professionals in Australia and Asia.
Prior to taking on his role in October 2017, Daniel was based in Vanguard's Malvern office in the Investment Strategy Group with responsibility for the team's support of Vanguard's advised solutions. The Investment Strategy Group is Vanguard's research and client-facing team that develops asset allocation strategies and conducts research on the capital markets, global economy, portfolio construction and other related investment topics.
Daniel joined Vanguard in 2004 and has held several roles spanning Vanguard Institutional Advisory Services®, the Fixed Income Portfolio Management Group, Human Resources, the Retail division and Vanguard's Education Savings business.
Before joining Vanguard, he worked for Towers Perrin in their Executive Compensation consulting practice.
Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics with concentrations in finance and management from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He also earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
Qian Wang | Chief Economist

Qian Wang is a Senior Economist for Vanguard in Asia and a member of Vanguard's global Investment Strategy Group. Her focus is on contributing to Vanguard's global thought leadership through research on markets, the economy and investment strategies.
Before joining Vanguard, Ms. Wang worked on macro research and strategic development at a sovereign wealth fund based in Asia. Before that, she was the Chief China Economist and Head of Greater China Macro Research at JP Morgan. Ms. Wang also spent three years as a full-time Assistant Professor in the business school of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research on China's capital markets and corporate finance has been published in top-tier academic journals, such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Development Economics, and Applied Economics.
Ms. Wang earned a PhD in business administration from Stanford University, an MA in economics from Duke University and a BA in international economics from Peking University.
Ashley Warmbrand | Head of Legal & Compliance

Prior to joining Vanguard in October 2016, Ashley worked at National Australia Bank, where he held a range of senior legal and governance roles since joining the bank in 2008.
He has more than 15 years' experience in the financial and professional services sectors, including roles at Herbert Smith Freehills, Clarendon Lawyers and Centro Properties Group.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia in 2000.
Rachel White | Product Strategy Manager
